Overview
HueKit (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a free, browser-based color utility. We are committed to keeping things simple and transparent. This Privacy Policy explains what information is and is not collected when you use HueKit.
Information We Do Not Collect
HueKit does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, no tracking pixels, and no analytics scripts. We do not receive or retain any data about who you are or how you use the Service.
Local Browser Storage
To improve your experience, HueKit may save certain preferences directly in your browser using localStorage — for example, your saved colors and your light/dark theme preference. This data:
- Never leaves your device.
- Is never sent to our servers or any third party.
- Can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser’s site data for this page.
Hosting Infrastructure
HueKit is served via third-party hosting infrastructure. As part of normal web delivery, that infrastructure may process technical data such as IP addresses and request metadata for the purposes of performance and abuse prevention. HueKit does not have access to or control over that data.
Cookies
HueKit does not set any cookies of its own. Our hosting provider may set security-related cookies as part of its infrastructure. These are not used for tracking or advertising.
Third-Party Links
The Service may link to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their policies independently.
Children’s Privacy
HueKit does not knowingly collect any information from anyone. Because no data is collected at all, the Service poses no specific privacy risk to users of any age.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
